Archibull prize

Dear Ate,
Remember when I told you that I was going to that art presentation thing? Well I went today and Hurlstone won all the categories :D overall, the mark was 97% (WHERE'S THE OTHER THREE) and $1500 for the school. AND HEY HAD THOSE GIANT NOVELTY CHECKS! It was awesome :P And my friend only just realised that you couldn't actually cash in those novelty checks. lol@him
That's pretty much all the important bits. Omgsh, my friend, the one organising SYC (the church camp i asked you about) got his youth leader to extend the early bird date thing to give me more time to get a yes and I feel bad CAUSE IT ISN'T HAPPENING D:
Also, about having to sign in to read it, scrap that, I cbb making this private :P Just keep it between you and me. Or you, me and Joel :P OI think that's all the exciting news I have... O_O Sorry for a long and irrelevant post :P

Sunrise

Dear Ate,
Wow it's been a while since I've blogged to you. I had camp a few days ago as you know and it was really fun. Caving was teh best by far and it wasn't the kind of caving where you walk down a direct path with only minor steps up or down. It was actually pretty physically challenging and, given the choice, I would not have done it because I thought I couldn't. But I didn't get a choice. I had to keep going. And when I say climbing and physically challenging, I mean half a metre ledges attached to the wall with a one metre gap to the other side of the cave wall with a four metre drop in said gap.No harnesses. Just helmets.
On the way out of the cave there was a leap of faith of sorts where you had to swing your body across. Scariest thing ever man. Cause you can see the rocks below you and you know if you fall you'll get hurt. Badly. But yeah, my group as pretty supportive. Continuously talking down the line, letting the person behind us know where there were gaps or steep drops. It was like a really weird version of Chinese whispers. I liked it :)
Best part of camp was easily Friday morning though. A bunch of us, (like half the people who attended) woke up at 5am to watch the sunrise. It was awesome. I don't know if you've ever seen the sunrise. But the view was amazing. We were sitting on a hill and at the bottom of the hill was a river and then forest. And we watched the sun rise over the trees and it was kind of a cloudy day so we could stare at the sun for quite some time and at one point, we could see the outline of the sun and it was soo pretty.
I fell out of a billy cart on the third day. It hurt .
Oh and I got my subject sheet for next year and I got everything I wanted :)
Here are some pictures of the sunset :D

Talent Quest

Hey ate,
I will edit this post later but for now:

Chi is about to take the computer off me so yeah.. ill edit later :D Cause I dont want her to see the link of this blog :P
Ok ok ok SO we had talent quest last friday and it was pretty good. Kinda weird because I did another performance with Mariel. A guitar-singing number. Not that great. So I'm not going to bother embedding it :P But yeah its findable if you're interested. ah it was so long ago that I started this post I forgot what I was going to say D: AH well.
I've noticed, the formality of this letter-blog no longer exists. meh . Sorry about that. But something tells me the formality made it sadder :P Which is not good >.>
.. Fish are friends not food I don't know why that juts came to me...
Ok I have nothing else to say LALALALALA ooh im considering changing my subjects (again). Well just maths. I want to take up extension. Which means 14 units. Damn... But I was thinking that the only reason i didnt want to do it in the first place was cause it was too hard. But I can always drop it. But if I didn't take it and I wished I did, I couldnt move up yknow? ok im done. Byy now dearest !

Tell Me A Story

Dear Ate,
What the heck, I just looked at the previous post and saw my dot points turned into flowers O_O Weird... That was NOT my intention. Anywho. Just dropping by to tell you I have narrowed my subject selection thing. Sorta. We have to do English and Maths and I've already decided I'm doing Ext 1 English (still don't know if I should do on or off) and advanced maths. After the two compulsory subjects we have to pick 6 subjects only four of which we'll actually get. So, preferened, mine are:
  1. Chemistry
  2. Biology
  3. Legal Studies
  4. Art
  5. Physics
  6. Ancient History

(Yeah that's right, using numbers this time. TAKE THAT FLOWER DOTS!)

Yeah yeah? Im still deciding whether or not I should swap 4 and 5 around. Also, once upon a time, I was at school in the morning looking forward to English first period. Little did I know that we had a short story due that lesson. And so, like the last minute person I am, I wrote it in the mroning and during roll call. I wasn't expecting it to be great cause it was rushed. But our teacher gave it back to us yesterday and I got an A :D And the comment was so wow. It was like "...Context is a bit dark but well written. Evocative of EA Poe..." YOU KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM ABOUT THAT?? I LOVE EA POE !!! -end brag-

Edit: OMGSH THEY STILL BECAME FLOWERS D:

Yours Truly,

State of Origin Game 2

Dear Ate,
I shall commentate to you. Actually, no I won't cause I don't the technical terms. Basically the first game, NSW got owned. It wasn't that bad though. Four point loss. But still THEY LOST! And I am currently watching the second game as I am typing this. Dad's freaking out cause Queensland has the ball.
[Exuent Father]
ehe . I'm so lame. Its the 23rd minute and the score is 10-0. Queensland is winning. How pathetic D: Our defense is pathetic and close to non existent. Enough about this depressing game, I shall tell you the final score later. In the meantime, I received subject selection forms. HELP!
I have no idea what to pick. Well I have an idea but I have TOO many ideas. I'm doing:
  • Ext 1 English... online or offline? WHICH ONE SHOULD I DO ?!
  • Advanced Maths
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

Those are for sure but I still want to do Physics, Visual Arts, Ancient History and Legal studies. And if I do Ext 1 English online, I might do Visual Design or photography as a one unit. I dont know D: I don't really like physics but according to my job guide, physics is recommended for Forensic Scientists. I replanned my future... sorta. Before I was going to do veterinary science at some uni. NOW, after reading the Job Guide, I am going to go UTS to do a Bachelor of Forensic Science in Applied Chemistry OR UTS; Bachelor of Forensic Biology in Biomedical Science. That's IF I get a good enough ATAR. Like... a really BIG if. Last resort for Forensic Science degree would be UWS, Bachelor of Science; (Forensic Science). (thats word for word out of the job guide ;D),

If I decide to NOT be a forensic scientist, I'm going to go UNSW and do a double degree of combined law (also out of the job guide ;D) but I want to specialise in criminal law. Are you caring about all this? :P Im probably rambling and you probably find this incredibly boring. ah well. Rambling is what i do ;D I got my story for Half Yearlies back. 15/20. Not great but pretty damn good considering the average was 60% including both parts.

My story is so tragic... as usual. Wanna read? ;D Just say the word and I'll send :D

update: End of first half; 16-0 Queensland's way

52nd minute; 28-0 NSW only JUST beginning to improve their defense.

64th minute; 34-0 NSW suck. Really really suck. They were on the tryline and they still didn't manage to score =="

79th miute; 34-6 ABOUT FREAKING TIME

Final Score: 34-6 PATHETIC MUCH?

Yours Truly,

Kyleen

FIST IN COW!

Dear Ate,
I spent all of today in your room watching gossip girl. Literally. I woke up, ate meatless food (which for every filo probably means palabok) and into your room I went to watch Gossip Girl on my laptop. I am up to season three and omgsh Chuck is soo sweet ^^ And Nelly Yuki is cute..kinda annoying though. Penelope should go bury herself in a hole =="
Enough about gossip girl though... I am considering moving into your room. Agree or disagree? The major reason I want to move into there is so I can have a photo strip on my/your wall :D But if I DO move into your room, I'm going to leave everything pretty much the same. Just with an added photo strip and (if i ever get a job and save up for one) an electric guitar :D I have big plans for your room. And chi chi is already planning stuff for our room once I move out. And it isn't even certain yet D: Gee... someone's eager to get rid of me *rollseyes* Although, I have made some mental notes.. I want to sleep in there for one night to see what it's like. Might not be able to take all the memories it brings back y'know ;P Nah I'm kidding, no need for tears !! It doesn't smell like you anymore so I can cope :D So with all these plans and full proof ideas, what's stopping me you say? You might not want me to which is all fine and dandy. I mean, it's your room :P But the other reason is cause if when you come back, you won't have anywhere to stay. And I have to keep believing that you will be back. And I guess that room is the last thing to go before everything is final =/
On a happier(?) note, I did preg testing last week.. it wasn't THAT bad tbh. I didn't get too dirty. I was worried about my shoes though. It was a sport day so I had my nice shoes on D: And I thought I'd be the last person on the first cow so I was thinking "oh sweet, I won't be pooped on !" but then when I was about to step forward, he was like "oh wait a sec, this girl's had enough, I'll bring in the next one" And I was all D: D: D: D: WHAT?! But no..it didn't poop on me. BUT! All the poop from the first cow was all over the floor that I was meant to stand on ==" Btu I got out of it clean enough :D Yes, I'll spare you the details but basically, I'm glad I did it pretty quickly cause when I shoved my hand in, I felt poop almost on it's way out :S and the cow sucked me in D: Like I was shoving my hand in and I was having trouble going past my wrist and the guy was like "keep pushing it in, a little harder" So me, being the obedient little girl I am (haha..) pushed harder just as the cow's rectum was contracting and I slipped in ==" Stupid cow and its suction power... But yeah, I got to where I was meant to be and I felt the vein and it had a beat ^^ It's very... I dunno... breathtaking I guess? to be able to feel a life. Even though that life may only have been created to serve humans and possibly die. Wow, how negative does that sound "she was born to die." Yes, another one of my emo thoughts ;P But yeah... it was nice to be able to feel the beat of a baby, even if it might end up being my dinner or the source of my milk...
This has been one of the most.. naturally written letters to you ever.. It shocks me :P Oh ! And I wrote a story for English. I like it. Or as Thai would say "I like the wordiness of it" Yes. Very intelligent boy 8-) But yeah, I'm pretty proud of it. Not sure what you'd think but whatever. If you want it, let me know :P
Yours Truly,
Kyleen
Ps: Check it out ;D

Returning Home

Dear Ate,
We got back from Philippines not too long ago :D And as suck-uppy as this may sound, I really mean it when I say, the best bits were when you were there. Cause decisions were actually being made adn you actually mingled and talked. YOu know, not keep to yourself like others might..not pointing the finger at anyone 8-) It was a good break in the monotony of waking up, getting nagged, deciding where to go, going wherever it is we decide and keeping to ourselves. Living 24/7 with someone can really get to you. Like LITERALLY 24/7. As in, wherever she is, I am or vice versa. Im not blaming anyone, it's probably cause of my antisoical-ness and language barriers that I get bored. Thats why I like you being there :D Even when it was just us three. IT was good. Brought back memories :)
Like the first night that you came back with Joel and we were running around Serendra going crazy and taking random, crazy photos..ahhh it was good :') I really miss that. YOu know when oyu left, I was thinking about how we acted when we were together and it was so pleasantly childish. I seriously dont think there's another group of sisters who act like that at our age. And to be completely honest, I'm going to miss it. A lot. I don't know when we're going to be able to act like that again. I mean, our next reunion is still unknown. And if it isnt till you're finished in Singapore, thats one long wait. And im not quite sure if our childish ways will wait that long..I hope they do, but time has a way of changing things...
Wow, what depressing thoughts. But seriously. It just occurred to me, when you get back we're going to be what? 18, 22 and 26. And the question that comes to mind is: Will we still think as immaturelya s we do now and have as much fun? Maybe, maybe not. If not, then here's a more pressing question: Was this the last time we would be like this? Ever? I honestly hope not. Kinda doubting it. BUt the reality is, time ages. minds included so we'll see how it goes yeah? But knowing us, we could be 70 and wheeling around taking crazy photos. I hope this is the case :D
I love you ate, I hope things never change too much cause I don't know what I'd do if they did :'(
Yours Truly,
Kyleen
